I paint portraits from life or from a proper photograph. Even when painting from life, I like to take a series of photographs of a subject myself. If you would like a portrait of yourself or of someone else from a photograph, send me an email and let me see what you have.  I have an example below of a portrait I painted from a black and white photograph.  I also have some sample portraits which I have painted below.  These will show you a variety of styles and poses.  

Standard Portrait Pricing for oil on canvas:

Head and Shoulders — $4,000

Prices vary based on the size and complexity of the subject and background. 

Commission agreements require ½ payment up front with the balance due upon completion.
