I paint portraits from life or from a proper photograph. Even when painting from life, I like to take a series of photographs of a subject myself. Standard Portrait Pricing for oil on canvas:

Head and Shoulders — $2,000

Half Length (hands included) — $4,000

I also take commissions for paintings of other kinds of subjects.  The price is based on the size and complexity of the subject.  Commission agreements require ½ payment up front with the balance due upon completion.
